Actually, the title should read: "the pidgeons feeding in the square have flown". It is a quotation from "Once upon a Summertime", the English translation of Michel Legrand's "Porte des Lilas". When I was in Paris, I had Monica Zetterlund's version of the song playing in my head. ... She is gone now. She died May 13 in a fire in Stockholm.
